On June 14, 2018, Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners awarded SLA's Youth Advisory Council a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of their valuable contributions to the community at their It Takes a Village Parent Forum and Resources Fair.
