Howdy Superhero Leadership Academy (SLA) Supporters and Donors, Today is Give Miami Da by The Miami Foundation and sponsored by The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation, Related Philanthropic Foundation, Miami Heat Charitable Fund, and more. According to their site, "One of the nation's biggest 24-hour annual giving events, Give Miami Day is an online campaign where all locals are philanthropists. While we all count on Greater Miami's nonprofits to serve our region day after day, this time, they're counting on us. On Thursday, November 18, 2021, we invite everyone to explore the online profiles of hundreds of Miami-Dade nonprofits that continuously provide the supplies, services and support our residents need... Since 2012, Give Miami Day has raised more than $80 million for our 1,000+ community nonprofits, and this year, for our 10th anniversary, we aim to grow that generosity to $100 million." SLA is one of the many nonprofits participating this year. Please join us in donating $25.00 - $100.00 to reach our funding goal of $3,000. Your gracious contribution will go towards furthering our mission to "teach students professional leadership skills through communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity." Since 2019 we have worked with over 395 students providing them with leadership skills and internship opportunities via our Social, Entrepreneurship, Civic, and Technology Program, Zoom meetings, food, technology, and PPE during the COVID-19 via donations and grants. To maximize each donation, please consider making them during the following "Power Hours" that SLA is in this year: 11 am - Education & Youth Power Hour (our Main Issue Category) 12 pm - Social & Community Support Services Power Hour 2 pm - Civic, Engagement, Advocacy & Equity Power Hour 5 pm - Economic & Community Development Power Hour **All organizations that receive an eligible gift (between $25 and $10,000) during their Power Hour will qualify for an additional bonus from the Power Hour pool.** If you're unable to donate, would you mind sharing our Give Miami Day social media posts with your friends and family?
